We are excited to inform you that the Gravenhurst Pickleball Centre will open on Wednesday May 1st, 2024, for our sixth season. Our five courts are located at the Gravenhurst Curling Club, 330 John Street North, Gravenhurst.
Sessions will be scheduled for different levels of play and ability. Again, this year we will have beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions. Sessions labelled “open” are open to all players at all levels. Facilitators will ensure that court time is evenly and fairly distributed to all players present on any given day. There will be an open play session every day. It is up to the individual player to determine his or her level of play and decide at what level they feel most comfortable playing. We do not use any formal rating system. Please see the schedule below for details of sessions.

Please note: Cash is the preferred method of payment for Drop-In clients.

Beginner/Novice Intro Sessions
This year, Graham Hall, our Level II certified Pickleball teaching pro, will be offering a novice/beginner clinic on Tuesday mornings from 9-10am on courts 1-2. If you are new and would like to participate, please be ready for instruction starting at 9 am. In addition, Graham will be monitoring intermediate drills from 9-10 on courts 4-5, Tuesday mornings.
There is also an open novice/beginner session on Thursday mornings from 9-10am. Novice players are welcome to join this session to practice skills and play games with other players of similar skill level.
These sessions are great place to learn the rules, ask questions and develop your skills. To participate, simply just show up!
Doesn't work for your schedule? No problem! Novice and beginners are welcome to participate during any open session throughout the week as well!
Equipment & Attire
Please be sure to bring indoor shoes and use the boot boy on arrival to ensure that our floors are free of sand and stones.
Outdoor shoes are not permitted on the courts. Outdoor shoes are to be removed and stored in the new benches along the wall nearest the main entrance.
Paddles are available, however, they are intended for temporary use for those new to pickleball who wish to try the sport. They are not intended to be used long term and we ask that they never be removed from the Club. Our facilitators can provide recommendations on where to purchase your own equipment for long-term use.
