GCC 2025-2026 League Offerings
The Gravenhurst Curling Club is proud to offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re young, old or somewhere in-between, we are sure to have a league suitable for you.

Drop-In League Descriptions (no registration required)
Drop-In leagues are free with your unlimited membership!
Those registered for one league only - Sunday & Thursday Drop-In & Tag leagues are $10 per play***
Sunday Drop-In - 2pm
The popular Sunday afternoon Drop-In returns in the 2024-2025 Season.
1-League Members & Guests are asked to make a donation of $10 for every game played.
For Unlimited Members, Drop-Ins are included in your registration fees.
Members and guests are welcome to join for a fun game of curling. You will be paired with different members each time, so this is a great league to practice new skills, meet new people and try new positions!
Please arrive by 1:50pm to check-in and indicate the position you would like to play.
Teams will be announced weekly at 1:55pm. Games will start at 2pm.
The bar will be open for a drink after the game.

Skills: Open to all members at any skill level - including Juniors.
Thursday, Tag Drop-In - 1pm
Thursday Afternoon TAG Drop-In returns in the 2024-2025 Season.
1-League Members & Guests are asked to make a donation of $10 for every game played.

Members and guests are welcome to join for a fun game of curling. You will be paired with different members each week, so this is a great league to practice new skills, meet new people and try new positions!

2025-2026 Curling Leagues (Registration Required)
Sunday 12:00pm - Doubles
Join our club as we open up a league to a new game - Doubles Curling.
Open to individuals or couples (just indicate who you would like to play with in your registration).
This league will have three dedicated sheets to begin with and may grow over time if there is more interest.
This is a very athletic game - there will be lots of learning and growing amongst our players - so join us for some fun!
*As this is our first time offering this league, we are open to teams of two, no matter the gender. If the league becomes more competative, we may need to reconsider this policy.

Skills: This league is open to all members at all skill levels, however, it is highly recommended that members research the game and self-evaluate their abilities before registering.
Sunday 11:00am - 2-Person Stick Curling
2-Person Stick Curling is open to members of all ages.
The game can be played in under an hour as two stick players take turns throwing from end to end - no sweepers!
This league will have 3 dedicated sheets to begin.
It will be a learning and growing opportunity for our club - so join us to explore this new game!

Skill: This league is open to all members at all skill levels,
Monday 9:30am - Morning Open
A casual fun league where beginners are welcome and a great way to start your week.
Convenor: George & Susan Lindsay
Skills: This league is open to members of all skill levels.
Monday 7pm - CYOR
This is a competitive league (split into divisions of equal skill) that competes for bragging rights at season end.
Enter a team of 4-7 players (to account for vacations or absences) and play a round-robin format each draw.
The league will culminate in a short playoff at the end of the year - with match ups based on team records.

Skills: This league is open to members of all skill levels. It is a competitive league split into divisions of equal skill level.
Tuesday 2pm - Afternoon Open
*New Start Time* 2pm
A Casual Mixed curling league. A combination of experienced and new curlers. Coffee and full service bar open after the game.

Skills: This league is open to members of all skill levels.
Tuesday 7pm - Social Open
A easy-going, fun, and non-competitive league, with an enthusiastic social hour in the lounge afterwards. Great way to meet people!

Skills: This league is open to members of all skill levels.
Wednesday 5pm - Women's League
A great league where new curlers can hone their skills under friendly coaching offered by more experienced women on their team, while making new friends.

Skills: This league is open to ladies of all skill levels.
Wednesday 7:30pm - Men's League
A men's league that is a mix of social and somewhat competitive curling. Convenors set teams matching newer curlers with experienced curlers.
Scoring is for a Win and for each End won. In the event of a tie score after 8 ends skips decide to either accept the tie or each team throws one rock with sweeping and closest to the button and in the house wins the game.

Skills: This league is open to men of all skill levels.
Thursday 7:30pm - Intermediate Open
Members with 3+ years of experience are invited to join this semi-competitive league as individuals or teams. This league can help members advance their skills and prepare for interclub or recreational competition if they desire.

Skills: This league is open to members with 3+ years experience, who feel they are playing at an intermediate level or greater.
Friday 7pm - Social Open
A fun, non-competitive league for curlers of all ages and skill levels. Younger vibe, lively post-curling social upstairs after the game.

Skills: This league is open to members of all skill levels.
Unlimited Membership Option (when registered for only one league in any draw)
THIS IS NOT A FORMAL LEAGUE. This is an optional UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIP OPTION.
Please sign up for this league if you would like the privledge of having an unlimited membership (which includes both drop-in and Tag fees), but are only able to commit to one regularly scheduled league. If you select this option you will be charged for the UNLIMITED membership rate for that draw.
You must sign up for this option in any draw where you are only registering for one league in order for the unlimited membership to count. (If you are registering for 2 or more leagues in any draw, you will automatically qualify for an unlimited membership and do not need to select this option.)
